Tereza Košutová: Real structure and thermal stability of Au, Ag and Ag@X core-shell nanoparticles prepared by gas aggregation cluster source

October 13, 2022 @ 14:00 - 15:00

In presented work we investigated homogeneous gold nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles
wrapped in titanium oxide or plasma polymeric shell, so-called core@shell nanoparticles.
Studied nanoparticles were prepared by Haberland type gas aggregation cluster sources,
which use magnetron sputtering of single metallic targets in various configurations and
atmospheres. The thermal evolution of morphology, chemical and phase composition, size
distribution and microstructure, of Au, Ag, Ag@TiOx [1] and Ag@ppHMDSO [2] nanoparticles
was determined by combination of in-situ x-ray diffraction (XRD), ex-situ small angle x-ray
scattering (SAXS), electron microscopies (TEM, SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and xray photoelectron spectroscopy.
