GaNIFICATION OF MODERN ELECTRONICS

In the first part of the seminar, I will show the applications of GaN-based LEDs, laser diodes and transistors. I will give more information on applications of laser diodes in quantum tech- atomic clocks, gravity sensors, and others. In the second part of the seminar, I will show you two examples of the materi-als-science research related to laser diodes. The first one will be on InGaN quan-tum-well decomposition during the p-type growth over these wells. The second one will be on influence of hydrogen used in metalorganic chemical vapor phase epitaxy on indium incorporation into InGaN. At the end, I will show the problems still to be solved to get efficient green and deep UV emitters.
